Quantificadores de substantivo 📦usados com *substantivos abstratos ou expressões como a struggle, a waste of money, a tourist trapa bit of, complete, total, reala bit of a nightmare • a complete waste of money • a real tourist trap

  • absolutely – absolutely incredible
  • completely – completely wrong
  • totally – totally amazing
  • really – really nice
  • very – very cold

🟡 Exemplo:

The facilities were absolutely incredible.
(As instalações eram absolutamente incríveis.)

  • absolutely boiling
  • really boiling
  • completely boiling ✅

🧠 Pense assim:

cold → very coldboiling (fervendo)
tired → really tiredexhausted (esgotado)
good → very goodamazing / fantastic
big → quite bigenormous / huge
dirty → a bit dirtyfilthy (imundo)
pretty → so prettygorgeous (deslumbrante)

💧 Atenuadores (usados para suavizar)

  • a bit – a bit noisy
  • quite – quite nice
  • fairly – fairly interesting
  • pretty – pretty cool

🟡 Exemplo:

The room was fairly clean, but not spotless.

  • a bit of – a bit of a struggle
  • a real – a real tourist trap
  • complete – a complete waste of money
  • hardly any – hardly any food left
  • almost no – almost no people there

🟡 Exemplo:

It was a bit of a dump, to be honest.
(Era meio caidinho, pra falar a verdade.)

3. Para verbos

hardly (ever) – I hardly go there. (Quase nunca vou lá)

really – I really enjoyed it.

absolutely – I absolutely loved it.
